Basically, I was looking for a bag that I could use to carry my laptop (13.3", but it could also easily fit a larger laptop) and a few smaller books. The main compartment is well padded for protecting your computer, and is still large enough to hold a few books (it could hold about three MacBooks, which are approximately 1 inch thick). The zipper compartment in the flap is a great size for holding your computer cords, but probably won't hold much else. There is a third compartment underneath the flap that is spacious enough to hold maybe two or three small books ("small" meaning books that are about a 1.0-1.5 inches in width). In this same compartment, there are three pen holders (they'll hold pens that are small to medium in thickness, but you'll have a difficult time trying to fit Dr. Grip-sized pens/pencils in there) and a pouch that's large enough to hold an mp3 player and a wallet (I think it's just under 1.5 inches in thickness). The strap is adjustable and uses velcro. The cell-phone pocket is definitely large enough to hold most phones, including blackberries or iPhones. Unlike many other messenger bags that have uncomfortable straps that dig into your shoulders when you load them up, this bag will fit snuggly and comfortably no matter how much you stuff into it. Overall, if you are looking for a comfortable bag that will carry a laptop and a few books or other items similar in size, this bag will be great. On the other hand, if you are a student looking to carry your laptop and your thick Biology textbook, buy a protective cover for your computer and stick with a backpack. + See Full Customer Review |  |
